The department of Geospatial and Space Technology produced the best two staffs in the faculty of engineering. The celebration took place in the University of Nairobi Towers where various categories of awards was conveyed to the best performing staffs and department.

The Department of Medical microbiology and immunology emerged the best department overall in the performance contract for Financial Year 2021/2022 while the Faculty of Business and Management Science emerged the best Faculty; The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology was the best Directorate in Central Units.

This was revealed when the University held its annual Staff Performance and Recognition Award Ceremony on Monday, 5th December 2022.   

While delivering his remarks, the Vice Chancellor congratulated all staff for a great improvement in the 2021/2022 Performance contract period. He appreciated and made  special mention to Prof. Walter Jaoko  for spearheading the O3 plus project that has been effective and continues impacting students’ lives,  Prof. Alice Odingo on Gender mainstreaming, Abdisalam Tuka for going the extra mile in serving through ICT, Jared Ongaro, for developing the SOMA Platform for e-learning, Ms Damaris Kavoi in implementing Financial reforms, Mr. Paul Kairuki, the ICT director for leading the ICT team in various innovations, Mr. Zadock Opole, the Halls Manager and Mr. Johnson Kinyua, the Dean of Students.”
