Most Alumni of Geospatial & Space Technology Department, University of Nairobi, have joined the academia. In recent years Alumni have not only been involved in running the affairs of the Geospatial & Space Technology Department, at the University of Nairobi, where Prof. Faith Njoki Karanja is the current Chair, &1st female to become Chair of Department; but have also been in charge of higher institutions of learning in Kenya as Vice Chancellors; such as the Technical University of Kenya where Prof. Francis Aduol is the 1st & current Vice Chancellor
