The Geospatial Engineering students carried out a route survey of part of Kibwezi Kitui road.

Route survey typically serves earth works such as road construction, pipelines, oil and gas and other corridors and other engineering works.

Some of the outputs for these surveys include profiles, cross sections, road traverses, and route topographic maps.

Route location survey may be performed in the following scenarios:

1. A corridor that exists both on the ground and on the map
2. A corridor that exists on the map but not on the ground
3. And also whereby a corridor exists on the ground but not on map.
